Blair-Fox's responsibilities include: close liaison with Client Engineers, production of conceptual P & I diagrams, instrument data bases and block cable schematics, attending HAZID and HAZOP studies and design reviews, attending SIL reviews, conducting site surveys, generating vendor package specifications, instrumentation technical specifications, bid assessments and the procurement of equipment.  Performing calculations for flow orifices, control valves and D.P. level transmitters.  Preparing: cause and effects diagrams, logic schematics, termination diagrams, instrument schedules, loops, vessel sketches and hook-ups.  Compiling estimates, controlling project man-hours and managing personnel, both in the office and on site. The Company has has also gained experience interfacing field equipment and vendor packages with DCS / IPS systems and process automation systems.

The Company has experience in following Projects to site and commissioning the equipment and systems to a compressed time schedule.

The range of projects The Company has had been involved which include Onshore Refineries and Gas Terminals, LPG Separation Plants, Offshore Oil and Gas Platforms, Sub-sea Wellhead Control Systems, Flow Metering Packages, Hydrocarbon Vapour Recovery Units, Terminal Automation and Road Tanker Loading Facilities, Marine Tanker Loading Facilities, Ethylene Plants, Desalination Plants, various Chemical Process Plants, Pharmaceutical Plants, CHP Plants and Water Treatment Plants.

The Company has has also worked extensively in the Nuclear Industry and has been involved with design associated with a Nuclear Fusion Reactor, Confidential Nuclear and MOD. Projects, (requiring D.V. Security Clearance), a Nuclear Fuel Recycling Facility and I have been involved in the De-Commissioning of Nuclear Facilities.

A good working knowledge has been gained over the years in the use of computer-generated spreadsheets, software based calculations, specifications and word processing. In addition an excellent working knowledge of the use of AutoCAD 2000 and Intergraph INtools Version 6.0 and Smartplant Instrumentation Version 9.0.   I am familiar with the working of Navisworks “Freedom” 2015 3D models.
